Gold Chinese Panda

The People's Republic of China first introduced the Gold Panda Coin in 1982.  All of the years have a different design, with the exception of the 2001 and 2002 year series.  The PRC reverted to different annual designs in 2003 bowing to popular demand.

The Panda has 1 ounce and fractional ounce sizes, from 1/2 ounce down to 1/20th of an ounce size.

All coins are made of .999 fine gold and are in "Proof-like" Uncirculated finish.

There are varying mints that produce the coins, but unlike other mints, the Pandas do not bear a mint mark showing the mint of origin.

There is also a Silver Panda.
